Project Overview

Grand Island entrepreneur and real estate developer, Ray O'Connor with O'Connor Enterprises,  partnered with The Staenberg Group from St. Louis, MO to give new life to the former Grand Island Mall, now known as Northwest Commons. 

After major renovations, Dick's Sporting Goods made their debut as Northwest Common's first junior anchor store in 2015. Burlington Coat Factory was announced to be Northwest Common's second junior anchor store - opened in the Fall 2017 and occupies nearly 40,000 sq feet.
