Platte Valley Industrial Park East (PVIPE)

Directly to the east of Platte Valley Industrial Park is Platte Valley Industrial Park East (PVIPE). The East property offers nearly 280 acres of undeveloped land.

In 2011, the state recognized the property's potential and awarded itfunds from the Community Redevelopment Block Grant. These funds were used to build the property's infrastructure. PVIPE is now fully equipped with city-managed utilities such as sewer, gas, water, and electricity. There is a paved street and the potential for rail service.

Southern Public Power Energy Park

Southern Power District (SPD) owns 1,208 acres in the former Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant located 2 miles west of Grand Island in South Central Nebraska. Production at this plant ceased over 25 years ago and the property has been returned to private use.

SPD's vision is to develop this area with companies that have significant energy (electricity or gas) requirements. Development in this manner is consistent with our core values of selling electricity and maintaining low operating costs per unit of sales.
