We rely on a robust membership base to help us carry out our important role as a primary economic marketing arm for the Grand Island area. This encompasses a variety of activities, including:

    • Seeking opportunities to attract new companies, jobs, and developments.

    • Assisting the growth of existing businesses and supporting entrepreneurs.

    • Serving as the central data point for information sought by prospective new businesses. This includes labor statistics, demographics, housing availability, and municipal information.

    • Managing the city’s LB840 fund that is used as a key incentive in attracting new businesses and encouraging the growth of existing ones.

    • Carrying out the initiatives, in partnership with the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce and Grand Island Convention & Visitors Bureau, that result from Grow Grand Island.

    • Giving new opportunities a place to land by leveraging 600+ acres of property at Platte Valley Industrial Park – East, Cornhusker Industrial Park, and other Industrial Parks throughout the Grand Island area.

    • Helping to spur affordable residential developments in Grand Island by facilitating the disbursement of $3.675 million in zero to low interest rate loans to developers through the Build Grand Island program.
