Central Nebraska Regional Airport Sets New Record
Grand Island's airport set an all-time passenger record in 2013 with 56,902 boardings. To accommodate the increased passenger demand, the Hall County Airport Authority Board is taking steps to construct a new passenger terminal which is slated to be completed in 2015.
The Central Nebraska Regional Airport (GRI) offers twice weekly non-stop jet service to McCarran International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas, NV and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA) in Phoenix-Mesa, AZ on Allegiant, and daily non-stop jet service to Dallas/Fort Worth International airport (DFW) in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX on American Eagle Airlines. With such a wide variety of choices this makes our airport the 11th leading airport in the region. Congratulations!
In other news, the Central Nebraska Regional Airport was chosen as the 2013 Airport of the Year by the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics.
